Frequently Asked Questions

  • At U Got This Counseling Services, therapy is a supportive, empowering, and personalized process.

Whether you or your child are navigating anxiety, ADHD, social struggles, school stress, or big transitions, we start by listening — really listening — to understand who you are and what you need.

We use a three-step approach: Self-Discovery → Empowerment → Problem-Solving, helping clients of all ages develop insight, gain confidence, and learn practical strategies to thrive.

Therapy sessions may include: Talking things out in a safe, judgment-free space, play-based or activity-based interventions for younger children, social-emotional skill building for kids and teens. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), parent coaching, and other evidence-based tools, and ongoing collaboration to ensure progress feels relevant and effective.

Our goal is for you (or your child) to leave each session feeling a little lighter and with greater clarity, calm, and confidence — and to feel like you're not facing this alone.

  • The right therapist is someone you feel at ease with, sees and hears you, and creates a comfortable enough space with you that you can be yourself. They also bring the clinical skills and experience to guide real change.

At U Got This Counseling, our therapists are warm, experienced, and deeply attuned to the challenges facing today’s kids, teens, young adults, and parents. We’ll help you decide who’s the best fit based on your needs — and we always welcome a phone consultation to answer questions before scheduling.

  • We are an out-of-network, private-pay therapy practice, which means we don’t bill insurance directly — but we can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Many clients are able to get partial repayment this way, depending on their plan and deductible. Therapy is always personalized to your needs, and paying privately allows for more flexibility, privacy, and freedom in how we structure sessions.

If you’d like, we can walk you through how to check your benefits and what questions to ask your insurance provider. The goal is to make sure you feel informed and supported in finding the best option for your care.

  • The initial evaluation session is 60 minutes, giving us time to understand your story, goals, and what you hope to get out of therapy.

After that, follow-up sessions are typically 45 or 60 minutes, depending on your needs and preferences. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all — some clients prefer longer sessions for deeper work, while others find shorter, focused check-ins more effective.

Together, we’ll find the rhythm that fits you best. Each session is a safe, supportive space designed to help you explore, reflect, and create meaningful change at your own pace.

  • Session rates vary by clinician. Initial 60-minute sessions range from $225–$250, and 45-minute follow-up sessions are typically $175–$180.

We know therapy is an investment — in yourself, your child, or your family — and we want it to feel worth it. Every session is personalized to your needs and focused on helping you see meaningful shifts that last beyond the therapy room.

Depending on your goals and the type of support you’re seeking, we’re happy to walk you through your options and help you find what fits best. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and your care shouldn’t be either.

  • It’s simple — just click here: “Book a free 15-minute consult” and choose a time that works for you.

Your consult is a chance to ask questions, share what’s been going on, and see if we’re the right fit. There’s no pressure — just a safe, supportive space to talk about what you’re hoping to change or understand.

Every therapy journey depends on your goals and what feels right for you. This first step helps us create a personalized plan that fits your needs and sets you up for meaningful shifts ahead.
